Hi Thomas
While the commodity/transparency issue may be an issue in some places, in my experience with SMBs here in the Midwest (Madison, WI. area), a large majority of SMBs have other things on their radar. For me, this means that very very few businesses are proactively looking for video production. Most of the business world has no interest in or awareness of video. It is just not (yet) part of their marketing plan. Evangelizing video for SMB is still the paramount issue to me, and this is an extremely expensive, time consuming proposition. Until more businesses know about video and THEN have an interest in using video, not many consumers are going to be worried about producer transparency.
I think your issue is valid, I just think it is ahead of time at least here in the Midwest.
